If you are looking for a beautiful walk along the coast in Ireland, there is a charming trail from Bray to Greystones.
My family went and enjoyed the views this past Father’s Day. We parked in a carpark close to Bray and walked from there to Greystones along the trail. The walk is around 7 km or 4.4 miles. It took us a little over 2 hours to walk from one seaside town to the other.
We enjoyed the smell of the Irish sea, a variety of wild flowers and mountain landscape, and of course the beautiful coastal views we came to see.
The trail is well maintained and you can see the rail line below running along the shore. Once we reached Greystones we stopped at the shoreline and enjoyed the sea and the small waves.
Once we arrived in Greystones we stopped for coffee and ice cream, enjoyed a few little shops and played Frisbee in a park. There are quite a few lovely shops, cafes, restaurants and places for ice cream and other treats.
We then took the Dart, light rail train, back to Bray to pick up our car. The light rail makes this walk very convenient as you can start at either Greystones or Bray and then simply take the Dart back to where you began.
